Kevin and Erin Dunworth of Loaded Gun Customs in Selbyville, Delaware, will host the 2nd annual Rods & Rockers on Wheels vintage car and bike show at the Steer Inn Tavern on Saturday, May 22.

Christopher and Amy came out to DJ Todd D’s “Controlled Chaos” show on Tuesday night at the Steer Inn Tavern.
It’s true that the Steer Inn Tavern, located just a few miles west of Ocean City on Racetrack Road, serves up bargain burgers, wings, soups, salads and sandwiches. But did you also know that the neighborhood bar presents the most unique events and most entertaining rock-n-roll acts in the area? The food is affordable and delicious, and the Steer Inn Tavern has introduced me to some of my favorite regional bands, like Full Blown Cherry and Gas House Gorillas. Plus, where else will you see sword swallowing and dare devil stunts?
Open year-round, and conveniently located in Ocean Pines on Route 589, the Steer Inn Tavern definitely caters to Delmarva locals. The “entertaining neighborhood bar” offers unbeatable lunch and drink specials. Every Monday, check out their $5.89 sandwich specials. Throughout the month of April, enjoy the NY Strip Sandwich on garlic Kaiser with American cheese, bistro sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Or, try the Ragin’ Cajun—blackened chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and spicy chipotle sauce. On Tijuana Tuesdays, enjoy the best prices in town all day. Rails, drafts, Coronas, and margaritas cost only $2, and $5.89 Tex-Mex lunch and dinner specials include Steak & Chicken Quesadillas, Beef & Chicken Taco or Burrito dinners with beans and rice, and more. Plus, throughout April, you can enjoy music, games, and trivia with DJ Todd during his “Controlled Chaos” show. Every Wednesday, enjoy discounted sub specials, like $5.89 toasted Italian Sub with ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil & vinegar, and Italian seasonings. On Thursday, take advantage of discounts on basket munchies, like Hog Bite BBQ and Boneless Chicken Wings. Friday is Fish Friday, offering $5.89 Fried Rockfish Sandwich or Clam Strip basket. Sunday is Bird & Brew, with a basket of boneless wings and a pitcher of beer for $9.99; or a pitcher of beer and a Munchie Basket overstuffed with poppers, fried green beans, boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings for only $12.99.
Dinner specials abound at Steer Inn Tavern, too. Every Sunday through Thursday, from 5-9 p.m., indulge in golden battered Rockfish & Fries, Pork BBQ Sandwich, Chicken Parmesan Sub, or Maryland Crab Soup and Salad for just $5.89. Happy Hour takes place seven days a week at Steer Inn Tavern from 4-7 p.m. Lump Crab Dip and Crab Cake Sandwiches are coming soon to the Steer Inn, and the Tavern is home of the $9.99 10-ounce NY Strip Steak Dinner from 5-9 p.m. every day.
I met my best friends from Berlin and Ocean Pines at the Steer Inn on Tijuana Tuesday for the premier of DJ Todd D. The pictures prove just how much fun we had. Everyone enjoyed the Tex-Mex specials. The Quesadillas were loaded with peppers, onions, sour cream, salsa, chunky meat, and cheddar jack cheese. I also ordered my all-time favorite, the Mediterranean Roasted Turkey Wrap—warm and roasted Greek-seasoned turkey breast with cucumber ranch sauce, feta cheese, fresh cucumbers, and slicked olives. It was mouth-watering divine.
Clearly the Steer Inn Tavern offers fresh food and the best prices in town. Additionally, their entertainment lineup is unparalleled.  On Friday, April 16, dance the night away to the Southern rock sounds of Smokin’ Gunnz. I’m so excited to attend the return of The Lucky Daredevil Thrill Show on Saturday, April 17! Watch in amazement while Tyler Fyre and Thrill Kill Jill perform dangerous stunts like sword swallowing and lying on a bed of nails. You won’t find an act like this anywhere else near Ocean City. Friday, April 23, brings classic rock music by Tranzfusion to the Steer Inn Tavern, and Saturday, April 24, has The Electric Company on tap. Blending rock and bluegrass sounds, The Electric Company is quickly becoming one of my favorite local acts. Friday, April 30, tops off a rockin’ month at the Steer Inn with Loud Love taking the stage.
Locally known as “a little bit country and a whole lotta rock-n-roll,” the Steer Inn Tavern is a guaranteed good time. One event that you absolutely must mark on your calendar is the second annual Rods & Rockers on Wheels vintage car and bike show on Saturday, May 22. This festival was huge in 2009, and is expected to be even bigger this year. So big, in fact, that the Discovery Channel is slated to film an episode of “Club Café Racer” on site. An all-day event, this party features pin-up models and low-gear vintage cars and motorcycles. Registration is open to all 1970s and older hot rods, café, antiques, rat rods, bikes, dead beaters, trucks, and specialty. Trophies and gift certificates will be awarded to the winners. Yours truly, Jenny, will be working the outside beer wagon, so be sure to say hi. DJ BK will spin rockabilly and rock-n-roll in the picnic and VIP parking area behind the Steer Inn. A fashion show, pin-up model contest, and sideshow act are just a few activities slated for the day.  At 9 p.m., the Gas House Gorillas will swing into the Steer Inn to perform live rockabilly, psychobilly, and jaw-dropping stunts. The all-day celebration is sponsored by Clambake Productions and Loaded Gun Customs. Register today at www.LoadedGunCustoms.com.
Can you tell that I’m a little bit excited about the Rods & Rockers on Wheels show? When you visit the Steer Inn, make sure to say hello to owners Skip and Tracy McGarry. They may just be the two nicest people you’ll ever meet. Supported by a fantastic staff, they’re committed to keeping the Steer Inn Tavern entertaining and affordable for everybody. Also, take a peek at the outdoor back porch, and say hello to Max and his chicks. They live happily in a cozy hen house in the backyard. Find them on the web at www.steerinntavern.com!
