Hey, there! Boy, did I have a good time with our Eastern Shore boys last weekend. First Randy Lee & The Salt Water Cowboys on Sat. at Dead Freddie’s (where you can hear Tranzfusion this Sat.) and on Sunday at M.R. Ducks for Bird Dog & The Road Kings. Both Randy Lee and Bird Dog are such great singer/songwriters, I wouldn’t mind whole shows of just their music. Randy Lee is all over the map this weekend: Fri. at Smitty McGee’s; Sat. at The Steer Inn; and Sun. at M.R. Ducks. Be sure to request his originals; love ‘em.
So much good stuff goin’ on this week that I devoted more space here to pictures (I know some of you only look at the pictures :~).
The first qualifying round of this year’s Fastest Bartender Contest took place this Tues. at Fish Tales and it was loads of fun. I noticed some of you bartenders watching carefully to pick up tips on how to beat the clock, so I expect to see you sign up for Tues. next round at Duffy’s. The sponsoring Bacardi folks were there and I got to try some really cool drinks. First the new Seven Tiki Crush is delicious; but I loved the Dragonberry Lemonade. The Cherry Hinkle was delicious, too, with Bacardi Torched Cherry, cranberry juice, sour mix & iced tea. Then there was the Tiki Torch with Seven Tiki, Cola & Bacardi Torch Cherry - tastes just like cherry cola but, wow, what a punch. Yes, I had a really good time - and so can you. After Duffy’s, the third round will be at Pickles, then the finals on July 13 at the Party Block. Good luck to all. Big prize money; check the ad.
I sure wish I were sitting on the patio at Coconuts Beach Bar & Grill right now ‘cause a new lineup of entertainers is there. Talking about the Bobcats. Three members of Full Circle are performing with Bob Wilkinson (Opposite Directions) hence, the name. The vocals have got to be amazing with Michelle, Kathy and David - that’s four great voices. Hope to hear them next time. Meanwhile, Full Circle will be at BJ’s Fri. & Sat.            Sunsets are spectacular at Jive and even more special with the music of Sal Anthony. They have some excellent food, too, so stop in and enjoy.
Welcome to High Stakes up on Rt. 54. Not only do they have the best Philly cheesesteaks but they have great music, too. DJ Rupe spins party tunes Sat. and Monkee Paw plays Sun.; and more.
The Purple Moose is starting Thur. tribute band nights fueled by the success of Kashmir. This coming Thur. will be Green Day tribute band Christie Road. Fans will note the name is from the song from their Kerplunk album. More great bands in upcoming weeks. Out of room already. See ya ‘n party safe!
