Another beautiful week at the beach. How great is that? We used to have a bartender here, Stick, who always told everyone “Tomorrow folks, it’s going to be 78 and sunny. Have a great day!” Stick said that every day, year round. There’s something to be said for optimism.
Shout outs to Lauren, the chef of our beach grill, and her crew: Paul, Tore, Andre, Maria, Silvester and Andrea. They feed two bars, two pools and the beach in a space no bigger than most people’s closet. I guess that’s why they all work so well together. Also I want to say Happy Birthday to Andre. He survived a night out with the crew, and fared better than most of them. Quinn is back in the saddle. He was sorely missed (pun intended.) And that look on his face now, that’s not pain, it’s actually a smile. I’m not sure who wanted him back more, the staff, his wife or me, but welcome back, Quinn!
My very favorite red-head, Eunice, is back and as beautiful and vivacious as ever. Mary has a new smile on her pretty face. I’m not sure if it’s one of relief or of anticipation; all I do know is it’s a very big smile, and I’m very happy for her. When you see her, be sure to ask.
Katrina was performing on the deck this past week. Always a lot of fun to see her and the rest of Synergy. She got Barbara and Buck, and Yvonne and Tom out in the middle of the week to hear her and the band. I am not sure they tried our new deck dance floor. If you haven’t seen it, or even better, been on it, you have to try it out.
Bonnie had a front row seat on the deck with Arizona’s Manny, Bea, Lee and Tony performing this week. Everyone was having a great time. It was just another day in our little piece of paradise.
Ocean City doesn’t get any better than this.
