There is something brewing … it’s in the air and almost palpable … I think it’s a party ... a very big party … I’m seein’ a  lot of faces from the past, more from the present … and  some new faces who just want to be a part of it.  Where … it seems to be at the Ocean Club … When… not sure yet, but I get the feeling the weather is going to be warm. As things become clearer to me, I will be sure to let you know.

Shout-outs to my friends, Paulette and Tony who were in for dinner this week. Shout-outs also goes to a very dear couple, Sushil and Violet. Let’s add another shout-out to Barbara and Buck, who make every Saturday a very special night! Jen was in for dinner this week with her parents. That always makes a night out even nicer. Saul and Joan were also in for dinner with a few of their friends. They love to dance!

Joey was here for a few days. Joey is good friends with Danny and First Class. The man loves to sing, and with a little coaxing from the band, and his friends, Joey belted out “Sweet Caroline” like he owns it. Way to go, Joey! Until next time…

    Great week! There were a lot of wonderful visitors in town this week. Betty and Ed were down for a week, and managed to stop by a few times for some dinner and dancing. Bobbie and Walt were in this past week, they were spotted on the dance floor. Bonnie was here with her family. Not being the night owls, they did the afternoons on the deck with our band, Arizona. Arriving this weekend will be Jim and Robin. They will be spending some time with Todd, one of our popular bartenders.
    Kelly did an incredible job organizing and hosting her first cocktail reception. Kelly got nothing but rave reviews from everyone. Kelly, our intern from James Madison, will complete our summer internship program by working with Chuck on our deck.
    A big Shout-Out goes to Joshua, a new intern from England.  Josh just arrived and will be seen working everywhere in the hotel. Give him a warm welcome to Ocean City. His life is about to change – just kidding, Josh! And so this week ends with new beginnings.

    So how hot is hot? Every day is beautiful, every night is lovely. Ocean City has never been nicer. Guests keep coming down, and I don’t think anyone is leaving. We are all living the dream! Shout-outs go to our two little cuties who have spent the last week being country bumpkins. Welcome home girls. We missed you.
    Second shout-outs of the night go to Meredith’s Mom and Dad. They are down visiting one of the Ocean Club’s most fabulous bartenders. Not to worry, their sweet angel is in our little piece of heaven. The ever entertaining Katrina Love is this week’s show stopper on the beach, daily from 4-8. She is our very own one-in-a-million! Kathy was in this past weekend – always nice to see her. The Ocean Club is never complete without her. John and Juta were also here dining and dancing. They are such a beautiful couple. Violet celebrated a birthday, surrounded by her family. It was a perfect occasion.
    Our dear friend Mavis was in town this week with her niece, Gail. Mavis has been a neighbor to us for so many years; I can’t remember the Ocean Club without her. I guess that’s what makes this place so special… all of you who keeping coming back, friendly faces, and wonderful moments shared. Like I said, Ocean City has never been nicer.

    The first shout-out of the week goes to our dear friends Beverly and Allan. They bring smiles, laughter and warm wishes every time they come home. For them, the Welcome Mat is always out! Cathy was in Saturday night. She said everyone came up to her because of the fries; I said absolutely not, they were here to see her, who just happened to be holding the fries. Cathy is the Belle of every ball.
    Jordan and Nick were, and still are, celebrating 21 years of anticipation of being legalized. Now what? I want to congratulate Joanne in her new creative adventure. She is pursuing her dreams, taking a road less traveled, but one that will definitely take her places. Way to go! I want to invite everyone to give Justin a warm welcome as our newest member of our Food & Beverage team. You can catch his big smile, big enough to match Chuck’s, at Lenny’s Pool and Deck bars any day.
    And yes, friends, it is 4th of July weekend. Let the fun begin… buckets of fun, frozen and Crush drinks, and the best top-40 bands on the beach. Every day, every night, inside or out. It’s officially Summer at the beach!
