Everyone is still pouring into Ocean City, and everyone is welcome. Our beach is your beach. A big shout out goes to Doris who was celebrating a birthday with us this past weekend. Doris, you absolutely must start bringing your ID with you. We also had a Princess Birthday on Sunday outside on Lenny’s Deck. Talia celebrated her 5th birthday with her grandparents, parents and the rest of her family. In between the clouds, sunshine and a few sprinkles of rain, Talia had a great party.

Yvonne & Tom were also celebrating this weekend with a wedding anniversary and the arrival of their first grandchild. Congratulations…and happy babysitting! Eddie was in for dinner this weekend with his beautiful granddaughter and her friend. Our interns, Kelly and Nick are finishing up their time with us. It was great having them here. I hope everything goes according to plan for the both of them. I see travel and fantastic careers in their future. What more can you ask for?

Salisbury University was kind enough to lend us a few of their scholarly students to us for the summer. They will be returning to school this week, with one foot still in the Clarion/Ocean Club door. I would be referring to John, Jamie, Kasey, Brian and Dougmore. You will be seeing them on the weekends. One week to Labor Day… and don’t forget… November 6… 49th St. Ocean Club Reunion Party.

Summer is still going strong. This really is an “Endless Summer” with all the great weather we have been having – from Memorial Day straight through until now. Unbelievable!

Shout Outs go to two very, very special friends, Jackie and her beautiful daughter, Maddie. Visiting from out of town, it was such a nice surprise to see them walk into the dining room. Next set of shout outs go to the Joyce Family – Bobby, Ruth, Jennifer, Bill, Kate, Will and Matthew. They are spending a week with us and it’s always a special treat when the whole family is together. John and Jutta were in this past weekend for some dancing. No word on the new arrival into the Kara and Justin family. The news is the parents are patiently waiting, and waiting. Speaking of which, Yvonne & Tom are awaiting their first grandchild. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Everyone is talking about the 49th street Ocean Clun Reunion. Two things that are absolutely important to remember…. The date of the party, Saturday, November 6, and bring in your pictures now from the “Good old Days”. Give them to Ms. Trudi or Richard. They will scan them and return them to you. The party will be a great event. You have to be there! Until next week….

The first shout-out of the day goes to my very favorite red head, Eunice. It was wonderful to have her in the Ocean Club. We missed you, but never far from our thoughts. And with Eunice was Wanda. Great to have you here. Mavis was here this week with her daughter Lynn and niece, Gail. Mavis has been spending time with her family in Baltimore, so it was especially nice to see her with her family back here at the beach.

There was also a rare spotting of my dear friend Arlene this past week. Arlene thinks she sneaked in under our radar, but I saw her headed for Lenny’s Beach Bar. Dee & Jack were also down this week. They were finally able to take a break from life in York, PA.

Everything is starting to fall into place for our “49th St. Original Ocean Club Reunion.” Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 6, at 9:00pm. It will be a night of friends, fun, reminiscing, dancin’ to the music of Danny Dolan and First Class. If you wear your Ocean Club shirt, there may be a little something extra for you.
